Many companies are working in the construction of Jawahar Thermal Project in Malavan, Etah. A large number of workers are working in these companies. One company did not pay the wages to the workers. Due to this, the workers went on strike on Thursday. The strike continued from morning till evening.

The work of construction of the thermal project has been given to the Korean company Doosan. Many small companies are working under it. NS Company is also working under it. The workers said that this company has not paid wages for three months. Due to this, they went on strike on Thursday. The workers of NS Company did not allow the workers of other companies to work on the units built in the project.

The workers told that they are from other districts and other states. They have been taking ration on credit from the shop for the last three months. Now the shopkeepers have also refused to give ration on credit. The company is not paying wages. Due to this they have gone on strike. A worker from another company told that the workers of NS company did not allow other workers to work. This is the condition of the companies here, there is no one to listen.

If we go on strike, the contractor and engineer call the police. On Thursday also the police came and said that the wages will be paid by 14 June, do not go on strike. The workers said that they are compelled to go on strike. Malavan police station in-charge Nityanand Pandey said that he had gone to the project after getting information about the strike. The company has assured to pay the workers by 14 June.
