According to the report published in Sichuan Cultural Relics magazine, thousands of gold ornaments, idols and utensils were found underground during the excavation. There were also gold masks among them. Archaeologist told that all this treasure is more than 10,000 years old. There are more than 7,400 items in it. All this was buried in a pit of 205 square feet. It seems that it was buried underground during the last days of the Shang Dynasty. This was the first Chinese imperial dynasty, which arose in the Bronze Age.

This place was first discovered in the 1920s. It is believed that an ancient city was situated on this mound. Which used to be the center point of the Shu empire till 4,500 years ago. No documents have been found with it, from which it can be ascertained during which reign it was suppressed. Don’t even know what it means? Why was it buried under the ground? Excavation was also done near this place in 2020 and 2022. At that time, scientists of Shanghai University had found more than 2700 artefacts.

The treasure that has just been found contains many gold masks. Four are 8 inches wide and quite thick. Some masks are different from these, but all of them are filled with gold. About 420 objects made of gold foil were found in the excavation. However, most of these are bent. But archaeologists were able to identify them. Some of these are in the shape of fish, some have wings or birds. A long gold belt has also been found. Some things have been damaged. A divine animal artifact like a dog has also been found. 400 pieces of ivory were also found in it. The longest tooth is 1.4 meters. Almost half of the teeth are also 50 centimeters long.
