World Cup 2023 Stadiums Upgrade BCCI: Preparations for the World Cup 2023 have started. This time the first match of the tournament will be played in Ahmedabad on 5 October. The World Cup will be held in India. Therefore, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has started the work of improving the stadiums. BCCI will get the improvement work done in about 7 stadiums. According to a report, the board will give Rs 50-50 crore for this. This list includes Kolkata’s Eden Gardens to Lucknow’s Atal Vihari Bajpayee Stadium.
BCCI will install new floodlights at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Corport boxes will also be installed in this stadium. The dressing room of Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Stadium will be upgraded. A new outfield is being prepared in Dharamshala. Roofing work will be done in Pune’s stadium. Seats and toilets will be repaired at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The ticket system will also be upgraded here. Pitch work is being done at the stadium in Lucknow. Pitch work will be done in Chennai. LED lights will be installed with it.
According to media reports, BCCI is paying special attention to Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Vihari Bajpayee Stadium in Lucknow. IPL matches were played here. These matches were low scoring. Because of this the pitch was criticized. That’s why now special attention is being given here. According to the report, 11 new pitches have been prepared in the stadium. New grass has also been planted on the ground which is growing very well. The match between India and England will be played here on 29 October. A total of 5 matches of the World Cup 2023 will be played here. Along with India-England, matches will be played between Australia-South Africa, Australia and Qualifier 2 team.
