According to reports, more than 7 crore jobs will be created in the year 2025. With this, there is a possibility of creation of 170 million jobs by the year 2030.

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held in Davos between 20 and 25 January. The ‘Future of Jobs Report 2025’ released before this meeting states that the next five years will see the fastest growth in jobs for agricultural workers and drivers. At the same time, the biggest reduction may be in the jobs of cashiers and ticket clerks. This study, conducted on the basis of data from more than 1000 companies, has also revealed that even today the skill gap remains the biggest obstacle to business change.

Job opportunities in these areas are likely to increase rapidly. The demand for skills in technical areas like AI, Big Data and cyber security is going to increase, due to which jobs in these areas may increase. According to the report, most jobs will be created in essential sectors like education by 2030. Additionally, advances in AI and renewable energy are bringing new changes to the job market.

The demand for technology and specialized roles is also increasing. According to the report, the fastest-growing jobs include farm workers, light truck or delivery drivers, software and application developers, finisher and related trade workers, and store salespeople.

According to the report, the number of jobs in some sectors may decrease by 2030. Among these, roles like cashier and administrative assistant will be most affected. The fastest declining jobs include cashiers and ticket clerks. Additionally, roles such as administrative assistants, executive secretaries, building caretakers, cleaners and housekeepers, and material-recording and stock-keeping clerks may also be in decline.
