Expansion

If we do not wake up in time to stop the falling ground water level, then there will be an outcry regarding water in the coming times. The figures of falling ground water level are testifying to this. Submersibles are installed in every house. People are also cleaning houses, vehicles and roads with ground water. Geological exploitation is continuously increasing not only in Meerut city but also in the countryside. Farmers are also growing wheat, paddy i.e. crops grown using more water, due to which the ground water level is falling rapidly.

water accumulation in ponds

The UP government has started a plan to renovate the ponds. In Meerut too, ponds have been excavated in many villages including Narhada, in which village water will be cleaned and poured. Especially rain water will be stored.

Rainwater harvesting system will prove to be a boon

As per the instructions of the government, it is necessary to install rain water harvesting system along with the construction of big buildings in the city and the countryside. This point takes priority in the map near MDA. It is a different matter that most of the government buildings do not have rainwater harvesting system or are not operational.
