After the arrest of WFI President Brij Bhushan Singh at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, the performance of the wrestlers has intensified. Delhi Police is issuing a statement that the minor female wrestler has recorded her statement before the magistrate. Statement recorded under CrPC 164. WFI President Brij Bhushan Singh has been accused of sexual harassment.

The Delhi Police had registered two FIRs against WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at the Connaught Place police station. While the police had registered a case against Brij Bhushan under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing a minor wrestler, a second FIR was registered on the allegations of six other female wrestlers. The Delhi Police is probing the allegations. Earlier, during the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court, the police had agreed to register a case against the WFI president. On April 21, seven female wrestlers, including a minor, had complained of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan. When the case was not registered, the wrestlers filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Many veteran wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik are performing since April 23. Wrestlers say that till Brij Bhushan Singh will not be arrested. Till then the protest will continue at Jantar Mantar.
