WTC Final 2023 Ajinkya Rahane Survives As Pat Cummins Bowls A No-ball And Then Injured His Finger India Va Australia

WTC Final 2023, India vs Australia: The luck of Ajinkya Rahane, who returned to the Indian Test team after about 18-19 months, also appeared to be supporting him in the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC). The final match of the second edition of WTC between India and Australia will be held in London. The game is being played at the Kennington Oval ground. When Rahane was batting in this match, the umpire gave him out on a ball from Pat Cummins. But Rahane’s luck supported him and he remained not out.

During the 22nd over of the Indian team’s first innings, Rahane missed a ball from Kangaroo captain Pat Cummins. Meanwhile, the ball hit the pad directly and the umpire immediately raised his finger and gave Rahane out. Rahane also decided to take DRS after talking to Jadeja.

As soon as the third umpire started examining this decision, Pat Cummins’ leg went beyond the line while throwing the ball. After this, the umpire, looking at it from different angles, called it a no-ball. Due to this, ball tracking was also not seen and Rahane was completely successful in saving himself with the help of luck. Had this ball not been a nine-ball, Rahane would have lost his wicket as the ball was hitting the stumps directly.

Rahane returned unbeaten at the end of the second day’s play

At the end of the second day’s play, the Indian team had lost 5 wickets till the score of 151 in their first innings. Still Team India is 318 runs behind the first innings score of the Australian team in this match. At the end of the day’s play, Ajinkya Rahane returned to the pavilion unbeaten after scoring 29 runs in 71 balls. While batting today, Rahane injured his thumb as well.
