Recently music composer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has given an interview to E Times. In which Honey Singh was asked a question about the song ‘Lungi Das’ from superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Chennai Express’. On this, Yo Yo Honey Singh has told- ‘I have always had trouble in preparing music for Bollywood. When Shah Rukh Bhai called me to create a song for Chennai Express, he wanted a song like Angrezi Beat.

I asked him why, to which he told that the song was a huge hit. I said that I will not make such a song, but will make such a number, which has his real vibe. I prepared lungi dance and he did not like it.

Took 3 weeks for ‘Lungi Dance’

Continuing his point further, Yo Yo Honey Singh said that- ‘Shahrukh Bhai’s mood was not happening at all for lungi dance. In such a situation, it took more than three weeks for him to decide whether he should sing this song or not. However, now everyone knows that Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Lungi Dance’ song proved to be such a big hit and how popular it is even today.
