On the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the mass yoga practice organized at the Raj Bhavan premises, Lucknow on Friday and practiced yoga. Governor Anandiben Patel also participated in the yoga practice with him. On this occasion, CM Yogi said that yoga is in favor of humanity, which paves the way for the welfare of the entire humanity despite the constraints of the country, society, time. If we join this work and connect the entire humanity, then it is called our true respect towards our ancestors and heritage.

International Yoga Day has become a medium for all of us to express our reverence for this tradition of India. During the program, CM Yogi also listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech during the yoga practice program organized in Srinagar. Earlier, the program started with the national anthem and then the Raj Bhavan song was also presented. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra greeted the Governor and the Chief Minister by giving them a Tulsi plant. On this occasion, a large number of yoga practitioners and instructors present in the courtyard performed group yoga with full enthusiasm.

There is no greater respect for ancestors and heritage than this

During the program, CM Yogi said that it is our good fortune that on the occasion of Yoga Day, we are remembering our heritage and paying respect to the Rishi tradition of India. This opportunity has been given to us by the country’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose vision and efforts have resulted in nearly two hundred and seventy-five countries of the world joining the International Yoga Day and trying to glorify our culture and tradition by connecting themselves with this heritage of India. There can be no greater respect than this towards our tradition, ancestors and heritage.

If the body is healthy then the mind will automatically become healthy

CM Yogi said that we all know that yoga is a complete discipline that unites us physically and mentally. If we look at the Rishi tradition of India, how much foresight they had, how they connected the society, an innovative attempt was made to connect religion with yoga in this form. When we talk about religion, two interests of religion are visible. One is to work for development in this world, for happiness and prosperity, for ease of living. And the second is to attain salvation after birth. That is, the two interests of religion have been told to us by the Rishi tradition of India. Yoga also works to connect us all with the same tradition. Indian Manisha also says the same thing that Sharir madhyam khalu Dharma Sadhanam, that is, all work can be completed only when your body is with you. If the body is healthy, the mind will automatically become healthy. There are different yoga disciplines for everyone in yoga. Be it a child, a youth, a middle aged person or an elderly person, everyone can keep themselves physically and mentally healthy by practising yoga.

Make yoga a part of your daily routine

CM Yogi said on the theme of Yoga Day that International Yoga Day is being organized all over the world with the theme ‘Yoga for all’, which means that there is no discrimination in it. There is no discrimination of caste, region, language, time or country. My appeal is to make yoga a part of regular practice. At one time you will realize that whatever time you have dedicated to yoga has been very good for your healthy and long life, for your physical and mental health. If we take it forward with regular routine, then we will get full benefit from it. On this occasion, the state’s Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Principal Secretary AYUSH Leena Johri and yoga sadhavs and trainers were present.
