By setting up tents near a statue in Greater Noida, social organizations have decided not to let any poor or middle class person go hungry. Here a banner of ‘Janata Ki Thali’ is put up and a full meal is served for Rs 5 once a week i.e. on Sunday. Rajkumar, who is feeding the public for Rs 5, said that they have been doing this work continuously for the last 10 years. He started this work at a time when people did not get pure home-made food. People were worried. Since then, every Sunday he organizes ‘Janata Ki Thali’ and serves a full meal for Rs 5.
On this occasion, Rajkumar’s companion Mihir told that this ‘Janata Ki Thali’ costs approximately Rs 10,000. In this he gets Rs 900 from the customer. The rest of them spend their own money and serve the food to the public every Sunday. They believe that by doing this they get blessings from the poor. Besides, we also feel good that everyone is getting pure home-made food. He further said that people eagerly wait for the ‘Janata Ki Thali’ organized every Sunday.
The food of ‘Janata Ki Thali’ is very tasty and clean. It is served with cleanliness. The food here is changed every day. The vegetables keep changing. Paneer rice, curry rice, curry roti and sometimes dal rice roti are served to the people. Here pure food is given to the people, which they eat with great love. After eating a full meal for just Rs 5, they leave with prayers and blessings.
