But according to the budget, generally people are not able to afford to eat tandoori roti in a restaurant or dhaba. However, there is no need to panic now. At Shree Halwai stall near Karpuri Chowk of Madhepura city, you can eat tadka rajma with tandoori butter roti from 10 am to 5 pm in a low budget. For one thali you will have to spend only Rs 80. In this, you will get four tandoori rotis, tempered Rajma, mustard chutney, salad and pickle.
Talking to Local 18 Bihar, Nishant, the operator of Shree Halwai stall, said that he had gone to Mumbai two years ago. There he ate tandoori roti and tadka rajma at a stall. Then the idea came to mind that why not open a similar stall in Madhepura. After coming back from there, he started serving tandoori roti and rajma tadka at Karpoori Chowk in Madhepura city. As people became aware that a tandoori and rajma tadka stall was open at Karpoori Chowk, a crowd of people started gathering.
Sale of 100 plates per day
Nishant says that in town areas, tandoori roti is served only in restaurants or big hotels. The food there is expensive. For such people our stall is the best in Madhepura. Here one tandoori roti is available for just Rs 10. If you apply butter, you will be charged an extra Rs 5. Flowers are served for Rs 80 and half plate for Rs 50. A full meal is served in a flower plate. Currently, around 100 thalis are sold in a day. Nishant says that now slowly people are starting to know about it and are also coming to eat.
