Constipation Remedies: The problem of constipation is due to disturbances in food and drink. Due to this problem, the account of both hunger and mood gets spoiled. Some of the most common causes of constipation include dietary factors such as consumption of junk food, drinking alcohol, overeating, insufficient fiber in the diet, lack of water intake and heavy meat consumption. Other causes include smoking and lack of exercise. But there are some Ayurvedic home remedies that can help in getting rid of constipation. However, it is important to note that it is best to prevent constipation completely by eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly. Today in this article, we will tell which remedies you can try to get relief from the problem of constipation.
vata dosha balancing diet
According to Ayurveda, ‘Vata’ controls all the activities of the mind and body. It consists of elements such as air and space and is usually dry, light, cold, rough, dynamic and ever-changing. A vata-balancing diet includes freshly cooked, whole foods that are soft or pulpy in texture. These foods are rich in proteins and fats and are best served hot or both. So stay away from cold foods and drinks and eat hot foods, hot drinks and well-cooked vegetables.
Triphala
Triphala is one of the most effective Ayurvedic remedies for constipation. Triphala contains glycosides which have laxative properties. You can make tea by mixing Triphala in hot water. You can also mix half a teaspoon of coriander seeds and a quarter teaspoon of cardamom seeds in a quarter teaspoon of Triphala. Grind them together and mix them in a glass of water. All three can be super effective for inducing a bowel movement.
Roasted Fennel
If you have constipation problem, then mix one teaspoon of roasted and ground fennel in a glass of warm water. Consuming fennel seeds can help produce certain gastric enzymes that can boost the digestion process and promote healthy bowel movements.
bael fruit pulp
Bael fruit has laxative properties. If you have the problem of constipation, then before eating in the evening, eat half a cup of vine pulp with one spoon of jaggery. You can also take bael syrup by mixing bael juice with some tamarind water and jaggery. If you are a diabetic then it is advised to consult your doctor before consuming Bael. Also, avoid consuming too much as it can further upset your stomach.
liquorice root
Licorice has anti-inflammatory effects and can aid digestion. Mix one teaspoon ground licorice root and one teaspoon jaggery in a cup of hot water. There is a need to take salad from an Ayurvedic expert before consuming it regularly.
