Late on the night of 22nd March, a young man resident of Nagla Bihari village of Sahpau area in Hathras, committed suicide by consuming poison due to debt on his own farm. The young man got further into debt to settle his ongoing debts through online games. Before dying, the young man made a video of himself and sent it to his family members and villagers. Seeing the video, everyone reached the field, but could not save the life of the young man. The video of the young man before his death is going viral on social media.

24-year-old Sunil Kumar, son of Dinesh Chandra, resident of Nagla Bihari, had worked in a private company in Noida after passing his graduation examination. Sunil’s father Dinesh Chandra had died about 5 years ago. Sunil was fired from the company during his father’s death. Came to village after being fired from job. Came here and opened a provision store. This shop also could not function. The deceased started feeling distressed due to his job being fired and his shop not running.

Due to non-functioning of the shop, Sunil started taking loan from banks on his farm. He also took loan on credit card from four banks. Had taken a loan of about Rs 2.40 lakh from Paytm, Amazon, Idex, ICICI. After failing to repay the loan, he joined online games on Telegram app. Started playing this game. To repay the loan, the desire to earn money from the app started. Gradually, through this app, he started getting deeper into debt. Late in the evening of 22nd March, the young man committed suicide by consuming poison on his own farm. Before committing suicide the young man also made a video.
