According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), at some places in Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the temperature has reached 42 to 45 degrees Celsius. At the same time, North India including Delhi-NCR is also experiencing severe heat. Because of which there is a risk of heat stroke. Problems of diabetes, blood pressure and heart patients have also increased in this season. In such a situation, the Union Health Ministry has given some suggestions, by following which we can avoid the dangers caused by heat.

According to health experts, skin related problems can occur due to heat and heatwave. Apart from this, problems like increase in body temperature, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle weakness and cramps may occur. Problems of low blood pressure can also be caused by heat. Many problems also start in summer for patients suffering from chronic diseases. Therefore, precautions should be taken during the summer season. All those things should be avoided which can be dangerous for the body. Special care should be taken about food and daily routine.

What to do to avoid heat

1. Keep drinking water to keep the body hydrated.

2. Wear only cotton and loose clothes. This will keep the body cool.

3. Cover your hands well by wearing full sleeve clothes.

4. Do not go out unless necessary in the afternoon.

What not to do to avoid heat

1. Do not leave children in the car to avoid heat.

2. Avoid doing any work outside in the afternoon.

3. Avoid drinking alcohol and carbonated drinks.

4. Do not come in direct contact with sunlight.
