In Samastipur, a suspect was arrested in a case of robbery of a woman and then was released after being beaten up in the police station. After a complaint in this matter, SP Vinay Tiwari has put Sarairanjan police station incharge Simpi Kumari on line duty with immediate effect. Simpi Kumari was appointed as the incharge of Sarairanjan police station only 20 days back. The suspect youth had marks on his body due to the beating he received. After being released from the police station, the youth made the picture of the injury marks viral on social media. Along with this, the youth’s family also complained to the SP. After investigation in the matter, police station incharge Simpi has been put on line duty.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, last Monday, in Sarairanjan police station area, Ranjan Singh’s wife Anju Devi was robbed while she was returning to Mahnar from her maternal home Manikpur on a bike. The miscreants had snatched jewelry worth about one and a half lakh rupees from the woman. An FIR was lodged in Sarairanjan police station on behalf of the victim. In this case, the police arrested Rakesh Sharma of Varuna Rasalpur village of Sarairanjan police station area on the basis of suspicion. After this, the youth was brought to the police station and beaten brutally. But, he was released after his involvement in the robbery incident was not revealed. After the youth reached home, his family admitted him to a private hospital and went to complain about the matter to the SP. But, since the SP was in Patna High Court, the family members lodged a complaint with the Headquarters DSP. Later, when the SP arrived, he handed over the investigation of the case to ASP Sanjay Pandey.
After investigation, ASP Sanjay Pandey said in his report that no involvement of the youth was found in the robbery incident. His mobile tower location was also different and he was not found guilty even in human information. Despite this, he was brought to the police station and beaten brutally. On the basis of this report, SP Vinay Tiwari suspended the police station in-charge Simpi Kumari with immediate effect.

Simpi Kumari was appointed the police station in-charge by SP Vinay Tiwari only 20 days ago. The then police station in-charge Ravikant was accused of getting a private data operator to work in the police station, due to which he was suspended on the basis of the investigation report of ASP Sanjay Pandey. Simpi Kumari was also given the responsibility of the police station in-charge.
