Youtube Games: If you are also bored listening to songs, watching movies or videos on YouTube, then now you can also play games on YouTube. YouTube has started rolling out this feature. Actually YouTube is rolling out its ‘Playables’ feature on Android, iOS and Web platforms. Last year YouTube started testing it and now the company is starting to roll out this feature. The updated Playables will give users a chance to enjoy a lot of light games within the YouTube app itself. These games are a fun and interactive way that increases entertainment offerings for users. Let’s know a little more about it.
YouTube Playables is a new feature offered by YouTube, which is integrated within YouTube itself. It offers users free to play, light games. These games are available in the YouTube Mobile App and Desktop Web version. This means there is no need to download or install any other app for this.
Over 75 games in YouTube Playables
Currently, YouTube Playables has more than 75 games, which YouTube has divided into categories keeping in mind the different choices of people. Some of the popular games that are currently available in it include games like ‘Angry Birds Showdown’, Cut the Rope, and Trivia Track. Games are divided into different categories like Action, Brain & Puzzle, RPG & Strategy, Sports Arcade and Simulation.
Now talking about accessing it, you can see these games in a dedicated carousel on the YouTube home page. This feature will also be available through the new Playables destination page, which can be accessed through the Explorer menu under the Podcast Hub.
You will get these controls
Each game’s interface has controls to mute and unmute, save the game, and access other options via the overplay menu. For YouTube Premium users, videos can continue to play in the background even when game audio is muted, while non-Premium users will have to experience game audio by default.
Rollout in these countries
Currently YouTube playables have been rolled out for experimental purposes to some users in the USA, Great Britain, Canada and Australia. This app will be made available to many users in the coming months. Initially, the Playables section will not be visible on everyone’s mobile phones, but some people will still be able to access them through a unique shareable link for each game.
To play these games, the user needs to have the latest version of YouTube app on his mobile phone and supported device and along with the app, you just need an internet connection.
