LinkedIn user Surya Pandey recently posted a screenshot of the Uber app. Along with this screenshot, he wrote – If I had invested in Uber’s surge pricing instead of the stock market, I would have left Harshad Mehta behind. He further said that companies like Ola, Uber or Rapido started business with the idea of making cabs easily available, so that people can get convenience. But now it is not so.

The price of cabs started skyrocketing
He told that he was in Gurgaon when it started raining lightly. He had to go just 1.8 km. For this he checked the cab on Uber. He was surprised to see that the price of Uber-Go, which can seat 4 passengers, had gone up to Rs 700. He was even more surprised to see that the price of 6 seater Uber-XL was Rs 588. That means the price of the small car was more and that of the big one was less.

Surya suggested to people that it is better to take a lift instead of taking a cab. Some people commented on his post and expressed their views. One said that the people who give lift on such occasions are very kind hearted. Another said that sometimes the fare of an auto is more than that of a cab.
