On his visit to UAE, PM Modi inaugurated a grand temple in Abu Dhabi. His two-day visit to Abu Dhabi has been in the news because of this temple, but before the inauguration of the temple, he also made many important agreements. These include many important decisions ranging from acceptance of UPI to economic corridor in UAE. India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan gave complete information in this matter.

PM Modi held delegation level talks during this visit. During this, along with review of bilateral partnership, new areas of cooperation were discussed, which also included global issues. During this, trade, investment, digital infrastructure, fintech, energy, infrastructure, culture and improving people-to-people relations between the two countries were also discussed. During this, PM Modi also saw the transactions done using Jeevan Card. 10 MoUs were also signed in the meeting.

10 MOUs were signed during this meeting. This includes electrical interconnection between the two countries, cooperation in the field of trade, India-Middle East Economic Corridor, Government Framework Agreement between India and the United Arab Emirates, Digital Infrastructure Project, Bilateral Investment Treaty, Cooperation Protocol between Heritage and Museums, National Archives, Agreements reached on interconnecting instant payment platforms and interconnecting domestic debit and credit cards.

What will be the benefits of 10 agreements?
This agreement will promote investment in both the countries. New possibilities for cooperation in the field of energy including energy security and energy trade will open. The agreement on India-West Asia Economic Corridor will further promote regional connectivity. The Agreement on Digital Infrastructure Projects will support investment in the digital infrastructure sector and create a framework for comprehensive cooperation. This will facilitate sharing of technical knowledge, skills and expertise. Collaboration between the national archives of the two countries will restore archival material and make conservation easier.
