State Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal attended the closing ceremony of the 19th National Conference of IMA as chief guests. At the conclusion of the two-day conference, the Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister said that the government is committed to expanding health facilities in the state. He said that it is our priority to provide better health facilities to the poor.
At present, due to increasing diseases, the need of doctors has increased and in such a situation their responsibility has also increased. Praising IMA, he said that it is an organization which is working for public welfare in the medical field. On this occasion, State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that our aim is to bridge the shortage of specialist doctors in the medical field and provide 100 percent treatment facilities to the poor under the Ayushman scheme.
Regarding the program, State President of IMA, Dr. Vinod Tiwari said that in the two-day conference, a plan has been made to treat patients in poor and tribal remote areas. In this, patients will be treated free of cost by organizing camps in Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Jashpur and tribal areas. Screening camps for cancer and serious diseases of women will be organized in the leprosy hospital of Janjgir district.
