Uttar Pradesh government has decided to build mini stadiums in every block to provide facilities to the players of rural areas. Under this, first of all stadiums will be built in those districts where there is not a single stadium yet. 20 such districts have been identified. In the first phase, one mini stadium each will be built in seven districts Siddharthnagar, Jhansi, Saharanpur, Sant Kabirnagar, Chitrakoot, Chandauli and Fatehpur.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna gave this information in the Assembly on Thursday in response to a question by SP MLA Swami Omvesh. SP MLA demanded construction of stadium in three blocks of Bijnor. Responding to this, the Finance Minister said that the government has decided to provide sports facilities along with mini stadiums in every block of all the districts. SP member Abhay Singh asked whether under PM Kusum Yojana, farmers cultivating less than two acres will also be given benefits and they will be given free electricity connection to install pumping sets.
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, in response, said that under the scheme, benefits are already being given to farmers having 10 decimal land to two acre farmers. In response to a joint question by SP’s Sachin Yadav and Dr. Ragini, the Finance Minister told in the House that Bhoomi Pujan has been done thrice so far after the Global Investment Conference. Out of these MOUs, the work of implementation of 536 projects has started and 894 projects are under process. Through these, 3 lakh 31 thousand 769 youth have been given employment.
