The Election Commission has completed almost all the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, political parties have also announced the names of most of the candidates. BJP party has also released the seventh list today i.e. on Wednesday. But do you know why political parties do not announce the names of all the candidates to contest elections at once. All political parties announce the names of candidates through separate lists at the time of Lok Sabha or Assembly elections. But there is no rule behind this. In fact, reversals are often seen in politics. This is the reason why at the time of elections, parties first announce the names of those candidates about whom the party is confident. After that the party announces other names. But if in the meantime the opposition party fields a particular candidate from a particular seat, then other parties can change the name of their candidate decided at the party level. At the same time, in case of change of leaders in the party, the party can change the names of the candidates. After this, the name of that candidate is announced in the next list. This whole matter is about political maneuvering.
What documents do candidates need?
When a candidate contests elections from any party, that candidate has to follow the rules made under the Indian Constitution. Therefore, that candidate has to fill many types of forms as per the procedure laid down by the Election Commission. In these forms, the candidate has to give information ranging from property to education, address, court case etc. Apart from this, an affidavit also has to be submitted along with two witnesses, in which information about oneself and property has to be given.

To contest Lok Sabha elections, a candidate also has to deposit a security deposit of ₹ 25000. Which gets accumulated if the candidate does not get one-sixth of the total votes polled in the area. In politics this is called forfeiture of bail.
