On October 1, the police has filed a charge sheet in the court in the case of death of 121 people in the stampede at a satsang in Sikandrarau, Hathras. In this 3200 page charge sheet, 11 people have been made accused. The date of October 4 has been fixed for taking cognizance and hearing. 10 accused also appeared in the court.
After the incident, the police arrested the main accused Dev Prakash Madhukar, Megh Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Manju Devi, Manju Yadav, Ram Ladete, Upendra Singh, Sanju Kumar, Ram Prakash Shakya, Durvesh Kumar and Dalveer Singh. Among these, interim bail of women Manju Devi and Manju Yadav has been approved by the High Court. Due to lack of verification of bail and the order not reaching the court, she has not been released yet. The 10 accused appeared before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar Tripathi at around 4:00 pm.
