Crime: Four people were killed and three others injured in a shooting at a house party in northern Kentucky, USA, on Saturday (July 06) morning. Police said the shooting suspect later died after fleeing the house and leading police on a vehicle chase, after which the suspect’s car fell into a ditch and he died.
Police Chief Jeff Mallery said that when the police reached a house in Florence at about 2:50 in the morning, they heard the sound of gunfire. During a press conference, he told the media that the police found seven victims of the shooting at the house. Four of them were found dead and three people were taken to a hospital in Cincinnati in critical condition. Mallery said that they are expected to recover.
the suspect shot himself
The suspect led police on a chase, but his car left the road and fell into a ditch. Police said the suspect shot himself and died at a hospital. Mallery said people had gathered at the house for a birthday party for the homeowner’s 21-year-old son. The homeowner was killed in the shootout. It appears the 20-year-old suspect knew the people who attended the party but was not invited.

“I know what’s going on across the country, but this is the first time we’ve had a mass shooting in Florence,” Mallery said. “Yes, it’s very emotional. My feelings go out to the victims, their families, the responding officers, everyone affected by this situation.” Florence is about 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
