According to Shanghai TV’s report, she used to earn more than Rs 3 lakh a month and was also studying computer science and telecommunications. Despite this, the woman got tempted by the free insurance and she made insurance claims 5 times in 4 years.
How was the woman caught?
The woman had made two maternity insurance claims two years ago, which were related to miscarriage. She used software to make fake papers for this and she got a total claim of up to 7 lakh 80 thousand. She used to delete all the documents as soon as the claim was passed. This year too, she got insurance cover by submitting fake documents of miscarriage but it was rejected. She made a claim once again in February and this time there were documents related to the birth of the child and it was also valid. However, after looking at her papers, all the old cases came to the notice of the company and they reported the case to the police. The woman said that she had done this only and only out of insecurity and also apologized. However, she has been jailed for one and a half years in the case and she has also resigned from the job. People have reacted to this incident on social media and said that she has ruined her child and her life.
