Why installments not received
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, an assistance amount of Rs 6,000 is sent every year to the beneficiary farmers through DBT. This amount is sent directly to the bank account of the farmers in installments of two thousand rupees each, so that the farmers can meet their minor expenses. The beneficiaries of this scheme are mostly farmers of small and economically weaker sections.
Aadhaar seeding has been made mandatory for their identification, but many farmers of Mirzapur could neither get their bank account seeded nor e-KYC done. For this reason, he was deprived of the 12th instalment. When the money did not come, he had to visit the bank and government offices for many days.

About 14,640 farmers have accounts in Aryavart Bank, 4326 in Bank of Baroda, 154 in Central Bank of India, 199 in Canara Bank, 22 in HDFC Bank, 77 in Bank of India, 3158 in District Cooperative Bank, 34461 in Indian Bank, There are 1544 farmers’ bank accounts in Punjab and Sindh Bank, 2023 in Punjab National Bank (PNB), 7346 in State Bank of India (SBI), 924 farmers in Union Bank of India, in which the money for the 13th installment has not reached.
