72 Hoorin review: Terror is the dark truth of this world, which has always caught innocent people. For years people are being pushed on the path of terror in the name of religion. And ’72 Hooren’ is the story of two such terrorists, who take the lives of innocent people on the path of Jihad and hope that they will be ‘rewarded by doing good deeds of Allah’. After death, 72 hoors would be waiting for him in Jannat. Director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s film ’72 Hooren’ tells the truth behind the golden story of these 72 heroes. Let’s tell how is this film.
Story: This story is about two Pakistani boys named Hakim (Pawan Malhotra) and Bilal (Aamir Bashir), who come to India to carry out a suicide attack on the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Both of them adopt the path of terror in the name of religion and Jihad after being influenced by the words of Maulana Sadiq. In the beginning of the film, Molana Sadiq makes his statement in which he explains how those who reach heaven after martyrdom will be welcomed. 72 virgin girls will be around them, after death they will have the strength equal to 40 men… But when these terrorists die, their wait to reach Jannat starts.
The story of the film ’72 Hooren’ is about 2 such people, who are trained by terrorists to become terrorists and tell them that if they sacrifice their lives in the name of Allah, they will get 72 Hoorins as a reward in heaven.
This film of director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan actually tries to brainwash the terrorists and tries to show that process. This entire film is black and white, but in between some things look colorful. Such scenes are few and far between. In this film moving in black-and-white style, the scenes of terrorist attack are going to shake the soul. How people laughing and playing suddenly turn into dead bodies. A child’s walker on which squealing was heard some time ago, after the blast in the very next scene, that walker remains just a burnt iron structure. Dead bodies all around, half-burnt bodies and a colorful leg visible in the middle… The atmosphere of terror in the film is so gruesome that you might not even be able to see some scenes.
But with a good intention and exposing the face of terror, this film does not live up to the scale of entertainment. This film is not able to connect you with itself even after telling a lot. In fact, from the very first scene of the film, you know what will be the real fate of the ‘paradise of dreams’ of these terrorists. In such a situation, you do not find anything shocking or eye-opening. The first part of the film should be fine, which gradually increases the story. But the story spreads in the second half. The background music becomes very fast at times and many scenes are unnecessarily slow. So slow that you lose your temper.
Pawan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir are the only 2 important characters of this film who are seen speaking throughout the film. In such a situation, this film is just a monologue of these two actors. Although both the actors have done a great job in the film. You will also see many shades in the character of Pawan Malhotra. Vinod i.e. Ashok Pathak of ‘Panchayat’ web series also appears in the middle of the film, but in this film he looks very fake.
The best thing about ’72 Huron’ is that nothing is being proved to you in this film. Rather this film talks about humanity, humanity. Both the writer of the film Ajay Pandey and the director have tried not to hurt anyone’s sentiments. This film starts to feel like a documentary in many places. The message of the film is good ‘that those who kill innocents do not get any heaven or any heroines’. But it would have been better if this message had been accompanied by a strong story. 2 stars to this film from my side.
