Republic Day 2025: India is going to celebrate its 76th Republic Day with great pomp on January 26, in which the platinum jubilee of the Constitution will be celebrated with a grand parade on the Kartavi Path. This year’s ceremony is going to be special for showcasing India’s military might and cultural heritage.

10 big things about Republic Day 2025 celebrations

1. Display of tableaux and cultural heritage in the parade
This time the Republic Day parade will include tableaux of 16 states and union territories and tableaux of 15 central ministries. These tableaux will show the cultural diversity and development of India.

2. Display of state-of-the-art defense systems
This time India will showcase state-of-the-art defense systems like BrahMos, Pinaka, and Akash. Apart from this, DRDO’s strategic surface-to-surface missile Pralay will also make its presence felt in the parade for the first time.

3. State-of-the-art equipment of Indian Army
The state-of-the-art equipment of the Indian Army will also be showcased, which includes T-90 Bhishma tank, Nag missile system, Agnibaan multi-barrel rocket launcher and Bajrang Light Specialist Vehicle.

4. Display of tableaux of the three armies
This time tableaux of the three armies will be shown in the parade, the theme of which will be ‘Strong and Secure India’. Arjun battle tank, Tejas fighter aircraft, and advanced light helicopter will be displayed in it.

5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored at the National War Memorial
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Before the parade, we will pay tribute to the martyrs by paying floral tributes at the National War Memorial. The ceremony will begin with the national salute and will last for 90 minutes.

6. Flypast and Cultural Performance
Aircraft like C-130J Super Hercules, C-17 Globemaster, P-8I, MiG-29, and SU-30 of the Indian Air Force will be displayed in the flypast. The parade will start with the performance of 300 cultural artists, who will perform to the tune of ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’.

7. Parade Commanders and Honorable Officers
This year, the commander of the parade will be Lieutenant General Bhavneesh Kumar, while the second-in-command will be Major General Sumit Mehta. Two Param Vir Chakra winners and one Ashok Chakra winner will also participate in the parade.

8. Mounted and mechanized column of the Indian Army
A cavalry column and eight mechanized columns of the Indian Army will be part of the parade. Six marching contingents will also participate.

9. Role of women soldiers
This time, Captain Ritika Khareta will lead the marching contingent of the Army’s Signal Corps in the parade. She will be the only female member of her troop.

10. Motorized display of Signal Corps
The display of motorcycle stunts by the courageous soldiers of the Signal Corps will also be the attraction of the parade. It will be led by Captain Ashish Rana, while Captain Dimple Singh Bhati will be in second position.
