A campaign is being run to celebrate it by hoisting the tricolor in every house. There will be major programs at the district headquarters. But today we are going to tell you how the first Independence Day of independence was celebrated in Sagar of Bundelkhand.

Apart from this, salute was given with bomb shells. The first Independence Day in Sagar started at 12:01 at night and lasted for about 9 hours. In which different types of programs were held throughout the day. Madhya Pradesh Minister Durga Shankar Mehta participated in it. He saluted the flag in the main program organized in the fort. Salute was given with 63 bomb shells on the floor of Chakra Ghat.

Its founder Damodar Agnihotri tells that a pamphlet printed by Alcot Press is also preserved in the museum. It gives the complete outline of the program to be held on 15 August 1947.

This is how the outline of the first Independence Day was made
At 12:01 at night, the national flag will be hoisted on the floor of Chakra Ghat and 63 bombs will be fired and the bell will be rung continuously for 5 minutes from 12:01 at night in religious places. Worship of God will be done. On 15 August 1947, after the explosion of a bomb, a Prabhat Pheria will be taken out in the neighbourhood at 5:00 in the morning. The playing of Shehnai will start at Kila Kachhari Kotwali etc.
The second bomb blast will take place at 7:00 AM and the national flag will be hoisted at private homes, shops, courts and other government and public places. The third bomb blast will take place at 8:00 AM at Azad Maidan where the national flag will be hoisted and saluted. Prabhat Pheri will be held and all people should reach before the designated time and stand in an orderly manner at the designated place.

The fourth blast of the bomb will be at 9 am on the ground inside the fort. The program will be held from 9 am to 10 am. The platoon of police, national workers, students of Akhara, college, high school, middle school, primary school, women and the public will stand at their designated places. The Central Provincial Finance Minister, Hon. Pandit Durga Shankar ji Mehta will hoist the national flag. The national anthem will be played, the military salute to the national flag, the platoon and police parade, the minister’s message, arms worship, flag salutation and military salute will be given.

Fifth blast of bomb shell at 11:00 am, departure of the procession. The procession will reach Bijli Ghar via Bada Bazar and Katra Bazar, in the middle, a Vijay tree will be planted by the minister under the Vijay Stambh. Sixth blast of bomb shell at 2:00 pm, there will be mass prayer at Chakra Ghat. Seventh blast at 3:00 pm, sweets will be distributed to students on the inner ground of the fort. Eighth blast at 4:00 pm on the inner ground of the fort till 6:00 pm, general meeting, welcome lecture of national workers will be held. Ninth blast at 8:00 pm, decoration of houses, shops, roads etc. and Deepawali, 10th blast at 9:00 pm, fireworks and singing will be celebrated.
