A father and son, who were going for some work on a bicycle, were crushed by a speeding Bolero, due to which the son died on the spot, while the father was seriously injured. With the help of local people, they were admitted to the local hospital, from where they were referred to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for better treatment, but seeing the condition of the injured, the doctors referred them to Patna PMCH. The incident is from Salaha village of Jhandaha police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh Rai, 45, son of Ram Shakal Rai, a resident of Bardihha Chowk in Patepurpur police station area. While the deceased’s father, 75-year-old Suresh Rai, is also injured. The deceased was the middle one among three brothers, who has three daughters and two sons. Both the injured and the deceased, father and son, were labourers. The father and son were going towards Jandaha on a bicycle for some reason, when a speeding Bolero crushed them and one of them died on the spot.
After the incident, the speeding Bolero managed to escape. On receiving the information about the incident, the police officer of Jandaha police station took the body in custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for postmortem and started investigating the case. After the death of the cyclist in the road accident, there is an uproar among his family members and his wife and children are crying inconsolably.
