Ajay Jaiswal, the manager of Maharshi Mehi Ashram, says that we cannot even tell how old this cave is. But we know that Maharshi Mehi ji had come here. He was looking for a place to meditate. After this, he did penance in this cave. It is said that he met God here. Jaiswal says that we have been hearing from our ancestors that whoever goes inside this cave is not able to come out again. A similar incident happened with a person living in Bhagalpur. When the team of Local 18 reached that person, he told the incident related to it.

Arun Kumar Bhagat narrated an incident. He said that in 1970 we were studying in college in Bhagalpur. One day all the friends came here to visit. At that time there was no door in the cave. Many people used to go a little far inside the cave. We also went a little far inside, but after that when we could not understand, we came back, but one friend was very stubborn. He became curious to see the cave. We did not go inside, but my friend moved towards the cave from the eastern gate and slowly disappeared. But the sound of his screaming started coming from inside. The friend had gone inside but then he was not able to understand the way.

The friend who entered the cave kept screaming for several hours. He was not able to come out. We called out from outside that you should climb up using whatever way you can find. Do not go down. The scared friend listened to us and instead of going down into the cave, he came out of the cave using the way that was leading upwards. But he was in a very injured condition. It seemed that the path inside was so complicated that it would be very difficult to reach there.
Nobody knows the entrance to the cave
Arun Kumar said that this cave is like a maze. It is very difficult to go inside it and come back. It is said that many people went inside it but could not come out. It is said that one door of this cave opens into Ganga ji and the other is connected to the fort of Munger. But no one has confirmed this till date. Therefore, it is difficult to say where this cave leads. How many paths are there inside it.
Now lock the cave
Some people say that earlier many doors were made in the cave to confuse the enemies. This is a very mythological cave. Therefore it is very difficult to tell about it. When many such incidents started happening. It became difficult to take people out after going inside, then the temple administration locked it. Now it is only visible. Entry inside it has been banned.
