Adam found this bottle near Shinnecock Bay in Ponquogue. There was a storm that day due to which the bottle was washed away on the shore.

The letter was written by two young men named Shawn and Ben. Both studied in Mattituck High School. The date written on the letter was October 1992. This was a letter written under a project. It was written in it – The bottle was thrown into the Atlantic Ocean, near Long Island, as part of an Earth-Science project for the 9th class, who discovered the letter. He also praised the teacher. Many people said that Brooks was a very good teacher, and they could not believe that it had been more than 30 years since the bottle was thrown away. Brooks’s son, former soldier John Brooks, said that his father was an amazing teacher and he was meant to be a teacher. The person contacted Adam on Facebook and there he learned that hundreds of people liked his father. Only last year his father died due to Alzheimer’s.
