The woman who was returning home after getting medicine with her sister was attacked by her husband with a knife. The accused stabbed the woman 10 times one after the other. She was seriously injured due to this. There are deep wounds on the woman’s hands, legs and stomach. Thinking that his wife was dead, the accused husband fled from the spot. The exact reason for the incident has not been revealed. However, it is being said that there was a dispute between the couple over something. Also, the accused was addicted to alcohol. The police is investigating the incident.
Reena (28), a resident of Soni Nagar Mohalla, Ward No. 4 of Nasirabad town, went to the CHC with her sister Shabnoor to get medicine at around 2 pm on Sunday. She was returning home with the medicine. On the way, near the house of Arvind Maurya of the village, Reena’s husband Arman suddenly attacked her with a knife. Before Reena could understand anything, her husband stabbed her several times with the knife, leaving her bleeding. Reena fell on the ground covered in blood. When her sister-in-law tried to stop her brother-in-law, he threatened her with dire consequences. Thinking her to be dead, the husband fled from the scene.
Police reached after getting information from sister-in-law and people nearby. Woman was taken to CHC where Dr. Ghulam Ajadani referred her to district hospital after her condition became critical. She was treated after reaching district hospital. Station incharge Shivakant Pandey told that injured Reena’s father Naseem has given a complaint against accused Armaan. Case is being registered. Injured Reena’s husband Armaan is a resident of Saraygarh Gauriganj of Amethi district. He mostly stays at his in-laws’ place after marriage. It is coming to light that Armaan is addicted to drugs. Action will be taken in the matter.
