He told that he tried to board the plane. When a picture was taken of the children while boarding the plane, the flight attendant called them idiots and told them that they could not board the flight. Jimmy was surprised. At that time he was halfway up the stairs. At first Jimmy refused to believe that he had done anything wrong.

He argued with the woman until she finally refused to let him board the plane. Jimmy said that if he had actually told them something else, like ‘turn off your phone’, they would have done it. Jimmy was actually wearing noise-canceling headphones when the announcement was made, but his wife Pauline revealed this fact later.
