Scientists have long been arguing that life could exist in the oceans present within the icy surfaces of the moons of planets like Jupiter and Saturn in the solar system. The researchers of this study say that to confirm this, it is enough to find a few grains of ice from these oceans, which is not a very difficult task.
Such confirmation can be done only with the help of the powerful telescope to be built in the future. Scientists also said that experts will need to study these objects in depth. At present, obtaining water beneath the icy surface of these moons is not an easy task.
Scientists have said that there is a solution to this also. Jupiter’s moon Europa and many other planets like it have clouds emerging from their icy surfaces. Scientists have already sent spacecraft to pass over these clouds, from which a lot of valuable information can be obtained and many experiments can also be done.

Fabian Kleiner of the University of Washington, lead author of the study, says this marks the first time that a mass spectrometer on a spacecraft can identify small-cell substances. Researchers claim that their results have given them so much confidence in the upcoming instruments that they can identify Earth-like life forms.
Kleiner says that if there are indicators of life even in very small quantities in the samples extracted from the clouds coming out of the oceans inside the moons of some planets of the solar system, then they can also be identified.
Cassini, a joint mission of NASA and other space agencies, also observed cracks on the south pole of one of Saturn’s moons, Enceladus, from which clouds of gas and ice grains were coming out. There are a lot of expectations from the Europa Clipper to be launched in October this year. Simulation experiments conducted on Earth show that future space missions will be able to do this task easily.
