The growing problem of waterlogging in Delhi-NCR

The problem of waterlogging is becoming serious in Delhi-NCR. 86 percent of people believe that getting stuck in traffic due to waterlogging takes extra time in travelling. This has not only affected their efficiency but has also increased the maintenance cost of vehicles. At the same time, 71% of people have said that they have suffered financial loss due to missing flights, trains etc. A company called Local Circles has made these claims on the basis of a survey.
According to Local Circles, the survey received responses from more than 19,000 people, of which 67 percent were men and 33 percent were women. The survey included residents of Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. The respondents said that Delhi is the least prepared for the monsoon season, while Noida and Ghaziabad are claimed to be better prepared.
92% of the people surveyed in Delhi-NCR have accepted that during the monsoon season, the Delhi Municipal Corporation, water and transport authorities did not make preparations to deal with waterlogging. 62% people think so about Gurugram, while 38% people think so about Noida/Ghaziabad. Whereas 46% people think so about Faridabad.

In the survey, people of Delhi-NCR were asked, did you face problems due to waterlogging in Delhi-NCR? In response to this question, 9,758 responses were received, out of which 86% residents answered yes. Also said that they had to face one or more problems. At the same time, 14 percent people answered no. In the survey, the second question was asked to the people of Delhi-NCR, do you believe that this monsoon the local administration of Delhi-NCR has not made preparations to deal with waterlogging? In response to this question, responses of 9,694 people were received. In which 92% people have admitted that no preparations were made to deal with this in Delhi.
