She has a rare sleep disorder, due to which she shops in her sleep. While sleeping, she adds items to her cart on online shopping sites at night and then orders the items in her sleep. In this process, she has spent more than Rs 3 lakh so far.

Talking to South West News Service, Kelly said that she worries a lot about what she will do at night, what she will spend money on. After investigation in the year 2018, it was found that she has parasomnia. This is a type of condition in which a person starts behaving abnormally and undesirable during sleep. According to Yale Medicine, a person suffering from parasomnia can walk, talk, eat food or do any other strange work in sleep but he is not aware of these things, because the brain is only half awake.

In the last few years, Kelly has ordered goods from websites that deliver goods instantly and she used to wake up only when the goods used to arrive at her home. Among these goods was a plastic full-size basketball court with net, poles etc. Apart from this, she has ordered paint, books, salt, children’s play houses, many fridges, tables, toffees etc. She is also getting into debt due to unnecessary things. Her credit card details were already saved in her phone, so she did not even need to enter them while sleeping. Once, she even told her financial details to the fraudsters over the phone while sleeping. When she woke up, Rs 26,000 had been deducted from her account. She has returned a lot of goods, but all of them were not refundable.
