Joining him in celebrating the success of ‘Maharaj’ is Aamir Khan, who recently hosted a party to celebrate the response to the Siddharth P Malhotra directorial, which also marked Junaid Khan’s acting debut. ‘Maharaj’ featured Junaid Khan in the lead role of Karsandas Mulji, while Jaideep received rave reviews for his performance as Jadunath Maharaj. Earlier, Malhotra had praised Junaid Khan’s performance, saying, “Junaid truly embodies the saying, ‘A fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.’

In its first week, ‘Maharaj’ topped the top 10 charts in India and number one in 22 other countries. It was Malhotra’s return to direction after his previous blockbuster ‘Hichki’.
