The accused were pressuring Harshit, a resident of Kasganj, who had been living with Javed in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh for many years, to convert to another religion. Even after his mother’s death, the accused did not let him go home. On Sunday, Harshit’s body was found hanging from a noose in a room near a pond in Divrai. His father has filed a murder case against three people including accused Javed.
The case is from Pathanan Mohalla of Kuravali police station area. Javed, a resident of this place, has a fertilizer shop in Divrai Gate. Harshit Gupta (25), originally a resident of Rajiv Nagar in Kasganj, was working in the shop for about 8 years. He was living in a room built in Javed’s village Divrai.
