In Vrindavan, a fraudster who was fleeing the city after committing fraud worth lakhs of rupees from Beed in Maharashtra was caught by Maharashtra Police with the help of Vrindavan Police on 25th September. The accused had taken shelter here in the guise of a monk for about a year.

Inspector Crime Dharmendra Kumar said that the fraudster was caught near Krishna Balram Temple on the midnight of 25th September. Its name is Vishwanath Shinde (63), son of Vishwanath, resident of Rajiv Gandhi Chowk, Kranti Nagar Road Beed. Sub Inspector SS Morkute and ASI Tulsiram of Maharashtra’s Shivaji Nagar Police reached Vrindavan and along with the Kotwali police, arrested the absconding accused from near Krishna Balram Temple. This accused was absconding from Maharashtra for almost a year.

At present this accused has been taken to Maharashtra Shivaji Nagar police. The accused was absconding here in the guise of a saint. It is learned that before here the accused had also taken refuge in Nepal. At present there is an allegation of fraud worth lakhs of rupees.
