Bihar: The process of identifying those running private schools illegally has begun. Such schools have been ordered to be sealed within 10 days. Along with this, an ultimatum of seven days has been given to complete all pending works.

The identities of the operators running private schools illegally in Gaya district of Bihar are being investigated. Gaya DM Dr. Tyag Rajan SM has directed to seal such schools within 10 days. He has said that all the concerned block education officers will be responsible for this and action will also be taken against them. In this regard, the District Education Officer told the DM that out of 735 private schools, 367 schools have not yet entered the list of students on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. All private schools have also been given letters earlier. Also, a meeting was held at the sub-division level and the relevant guidelines have been made known, but in view of the laxity in the work, if the charge is not taken by August 14, the U-Dice code will be cancelled and departmental action will be taken. The District Education Officer has instructed the division in-charge to give it top priority and inform by monitoring real data daily. If the work of entry is not started in the next two days, the U-Dice code of the school will be cancelled immediately.

The DM said that the profile entry of the children of the government schools of the district has to be done on the education course portal. The Aadhar number of the children is also necessary in this, for this the department has received instructions to operate Aadhar centers in various schools of the district and make Aadhar cards of the children. But in the case of laxity in the operation and promotion of these Aadhar centers, the head master of the concerned school has been warned of a 50 percent salary cut by the in-charge school education officer Aksar Alam Khan. He has been given an ultimatum of 7 days and instructed to complete the pending works.
