2000 pigs died in MP’s Shivpur
In Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, this virus is becoming the era of pigs. So far more than 2000 pigs have died there. Darasal, for the last few days, pigs were continuously dying in the area. The veterinary officers were worried about this. Pig samples were sent to the State Animal Disease Research Laboratory in Bhopal for examination. From there the pigs were confirmed to have ASF. The crisis before the investigating officers is that many pigs which are vulnerable to the virus are not being identified. Now another decision has been taken from the level of officers.

Pigs will be killed in affected areas
Due to lack of identification, a decision has now been taken to kill the pigs. Pigs with symptoms similar to those of infected animals will be identified and killed. This will be done so that the virus from infected animals does not reach healthy pigs. District level officials have appealed to the general public that there is no need to panic about African swine fever. This disease does not spread from pigs to humans. If any information about an infected pig is being received, immediately inform the district administration and veterinary department.

In view of the outbreak of the virus, the sale of pork meat has been banned. If anyone is found selling pork, action will be taken against him. Pigs will also not be transported there.
