Cyber Crime : Cyber crime is increasing in the country. Nowadays, there are many cases of fraud with people while making online payments. A case related to online fraud, iPhone and Instagram has come to light from New Delhi’s Ghitorni area, where a man has allegedly been duped of Rs 29 lakh. Actually, this person was trying to buy iPhone from Instagram and then 29 lakh rupees of the person went missing. The police have registered a case of cheating against unknown persons. Online swindle of Rs 29 lakh
According to media reports, the complainant told the police that a few days ago he saw that iPhones were being sold at a huge discount on an Instagram page. Now seeing the low price, the greed of buying the phone came in the mind of the person. The person further added that he also contacted the old buyers to verify that the page is genuine. They said that the page is genuine, they have received the phones without any problem. They also said that you can buy the phone from there.
The person who has been cheated. His name is Katiyar. Katiyar, after taking reviews from the customers, called on a particular mobile number on 6 February 2023. On the call, he was asked for an advance of Rs 28,000, which is 30 per cent of the cost of the phone. Thereafter, some people contacted Katiyar through different phone numbers and demanded more money on the pretext of customs and taxes. Katiyar told that he paid a total of Rs 28,69,850 (about Rs 29 lakh) in several accounts. They thought that everything would be fine after the phone call. Katiyar hopes to get his phone and refund by today.

Make online purchases only from those platforms or sites which are reliable. You should avoid buying Instagram pages for iPhone. You should be careful while making any kind of online payment. Still if you have to buy from such a page then you should always choose cash on delivery.
