Even though no decision has been taken in the decades-old cases going on in the local court, a large number of accused have died during this period. But the situation is that the police has not been able to present the report of his death in the court. Due to which their names are still heard in the courts. Out of about 25 thousand cases pending in the local court, 20 percent, i.e. five thousand cases are pending for a period of one and a half to two decades.

Case-1
Chandrapal and Brajesh are dead but still alive in the case
11 accused have been named in the ongoing robbery case named State vs Chandrapal of Thana Dadon area in the Fast Track Court (First). In the incident that took place in Dadon in 2012, a trial began against the accused on charges of housebreaking, robbery, assault and hostage taking. Of these accused, Chandrapal and Ram Brajesh have now died. But the police station has not filed the report of his death in the court.

Pappu is dead but alive in records
State vs Pappu case is going on in the court of Judicial Magistrate (Second) in Harduaganj police station area since 2012. Pappu was accused of obstructing government work. The accused Pappu has died in this case. In such a situation, even today his name is called out. The special thing is that till now there has been no testimony in this case.

Two accused have died…the call still sounds
The case named State vs Nand Kishore is going on in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (First). In 2005, there was a fight between two parties over breaking a platform and breaking the bund of a field. Seven people were nominated. Two people have died in this 20 year old case. But the police has not yet filed its report in the court.
