Bhojpur, A strange case of marriage has come to light in Arrah, Bihar. After varmala, after trying for marriage for three days, the groom accepted the bride on the fourth day. When relatives from both sides got tired of tireless efforts, the police had to intervene. In the fourth attempt, this marriage took place in Bakhorapur temple in the presence of police.
The groom ran away leaving the pavilion
This story is from Rampur village of Arrah. On April 28, the marriage procession of Suraj Paswan, son of Pakshi Paswan of Chatar village, went to the house of Shankar Paswan of Rampur village. Here his daughter Baby Kumari was to be married. In an atmosphere of joy, the wedding procession took place at the gate with much fanfare and the garland was also given. Everything was going on happily when the girl’s uncle had a dispute with the boy’s brother. The situation even reached the point of fighting. After a fight between the two parties, the groom angrily left the mandap along with his wedding guests and ran away without the wedding. Now the girl’s family got worried. Then the phase of vows began.

The girl’s side and the people who had arranged the relationship got tired of convincing the groom’s side, but the boy’s side did not budge. After several attempts, the boy somehow agreed but put a new condition. He said, come to the temple of Lahong Baba Mathiya near our village, the marriage will take place there. The next day on 29th April the girl’s family reached the temple. But the boys never came. The middlemen and relatives again intervened and tried to pacify the groom and his family. The groom’s side then called the girl’s family for the wedding on May 5 in the groom’s village temple. But this time also the groom’s side did not reach. After so much drama, the girl’s family lost their courage. Then the bride herself reached Badhara police station with her family and requested the police to get her married.

Now the police entered this entire incident. The police started convincing the groom and his family. After police pressure, groom Suraj Paswan reached Badhara police station with his family members. There, after scolding and threats from the police station in-charge, Suraj got ready for marriage. Lest he change his mind again, the police arranged for Suraj Paswan and Baby to visit the Bakhorapur temple located near the police station. Then somewhere the girl’s family heaved a sigh of relief.
