After PUBG, now government is preparing to ban BGMI! Know the reason

Battleground Mobile India Banned in India: A few years ago, the Indian government had banned PUBG, a popular battle royale game from Krafton, in India. That game was banned by the government due to national security reasons. Now a latest report has revealed that the government can also ban Krafton’s other game Battlegrounds Mobile India i.e. BGMI. However, no concrete news has come out about this yet. Actually, this battle royale game specially designed for India by Krafton company has now come under the target of Indian security agencies.

Why will BGMI be banned?

A senior government official in the cyber security group of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) told News18 that the agency has recommended that the government ban BGMI in India as it could prove dangerous to national security. Although the reasons for this decision are not known at this time, the report claims the entry of Pakistani citizen Seema Haider, as well as the fact that the data collected by the game was used for cyber attacks in the country. Can be used to launch an attack. These are some of the most serious concerns of the security agency.

Let us tell you that Seema Haider is a Pakistani citizen, who met her partner Sachin Meena while playing the online game PUBG in 2019. In March 2023, Seema met Sachin in Nepal, where they got married before going to India. In July 2023, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested both Seema and Sachin after Haider entered India illegally. The police also suspected that Haider could be a Pakistani spy.

When will the decision of BGMI be taken?

According to the report, the government has given a big list of questions to Krafton to investigate the matter and the agency is now waiting for the company’s response. Apart from this, it has been said in the report that after about a week the government will hold a meeting on this matter and then the future of BGMI in India will be discussed.
