Why will BGMI be banned?
A senior government official in the cyber security group of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) told News18 that the agency has recommended that the government ban BGMI in India as it could prove dangerous to national security. Although the reasons for this decision are not known at this time, the report claims the entry of Pakistani citizen Seema Haider, as well as the fact that the data collected by the game was used for cyber attacks in the country. The police also suspected that Haider could be a Pakistani spy.
When will the decision of BGMI be taken?
According to the report, the government has given a big list of questions to Krafton to investigate the matter and the agency is now waiting for the company’s response.
