China Taiwan: China is again trying to put military pressure on Taiwan. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry has given information in this regard. According to a report, as soon as US-China talks resumed, Beijing has increased military pressure on Taiwan.
Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said China sent 33 aircraft, including Su-30 fighter planes, and six navy ships around the island nation between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday. Out of 33 aircraft sent, 13 warplanes crossed the Taiwan Strait. The strait is an unofficial border between Taiwan and China.
What did China say on Taiwan’s independence?
According to Al Jazeera, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed on Saturday that Taiwan’s independence is the biggest threat to China-US relations. The Chinese Foreign Minister met America’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Bangkok on Saturday. On this, the White House said that the meeting between the officials was part of an effort to maintain open lines of communication between the two countries.
According to Al Jazeera, during the meeting held in Bangkok, Sullivan stressed that although America and China are each other’s rivals, both the countries need to stay away from conflict or confrontation. According to China’s Foreign Ministry, Wang also emphasized in his meeting with Sullivan that Taiwan is China’s internal matter. The regional elections held in Taiwan do not prove that Taiwan is not a part of China. The biggest threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait is the so-called ‘Taiwan independence’ movement.

According to a report, the meeting of these two leaders took place exactly two months after the meeting of US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco. China’s Foreign Ministry has given information regarding the implementation of the consensus reached in the San Francisco meeting and China-America relations. China said in its statement – There was a clear, concrete and useful strategic dialogue between China and the United States on properly handling important and sensitive issues in Francisco.
