Agasti Teerthe Tatraasti Mahaghaugh Vighaatkrit, Tatra Snatva Prayaten Drishtvagastichashvaram Vibhum. Agastikunde cha tatah santarpya cha pitamahan, Augustina samitha cha lopamudra pranamya cha. सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः सर्वकलेष्विवर्जितः, गच्चेत्स पुर्वजैह सार्धं शिवलोकम् नरोट्तमः.

There is a temple of Agastyeshwar Mahadev and Agastya Tirtha in the Agastkund locality near Godaulia. Pleased with the penance of Agastya Rishi, Lord Shiva appeared before him and sat there in the form of Agastyeshwar Mahadev. The description of Agastya Rishi is also found in Kashikhand.
Agastya Rishi had heard the story of Kashi Khand from Lord Kartik. All the animals and birds used to drink water together at Agastya Kund. Even the gods were surprised to see this. When Vindhya mountain started growing, the gods prayed to Agastya Rishi.
