Agniveer Reservations In Jobs: The Indian Army is considered one of the most powerful armies in the world. The Indian Army currently has more than 1 million active soldiers. The Indian Army is the fourth largest army in the world, America, Russia and China are above India in this matter. A major change was implemented in the Indian Army on 14 June 2022. Agni Veer Scheme was implemented in the Indian Army.
Under this scheme, 75% of the non-officer rank soldiers joining the Army, Navy and Air Force have to serve for only 4 years. Only 25% of the soldiers recruited under this scheme are given the opportunity to serve the entire term. The government has now announced reservation for Agniveers in other jobs. Let us tell you in which jobs Agniveers will get reservation.
Agniveers will get reservation in jobs
Now some seats in jobs will be reserved for former Agniveers by the Indian government. Thousands of Agniveers will benefit from the government’s decision. Under the decision taken by the government, Agniveers will be given reservation in jobs like Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Police Force (RPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Border Security Force (BSF). Along with this, if any Agniveer applies for these jobs after retirement, then along with age, he will also be given relaxation in physical test.
10 percent seats will be reserved
Now Agniveers retiring from the Indian Army will be given relaxation in the recruitment of Central Security Forces. 10% seats will be reserved for Agniveers in the recruitment of Central Security Forces. 5 years relaxation will be given in the first batch, while 3 years relaxation will be given in the next batch. Along with this, relaxation will also be given in PET i.e. Physical Efficiency Test. All the Central Security Forces have also approved to implement this decision.
What is Agniveer Yojana?
The Government of India implemented the Agni Veer Yojana in the year 2022, under which recruitment is done for posts like Jawan, Airman and Sailor in the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy. The process already going on has been discontinued. Out of the soldiers recruited under the scheme, only 25 percent of the soldiers get a chance to serve the entire service. 75 percent of the soldiers retire after 4 years. They are given Rs 11.71 lakh as fund on retirement. There is no provision of pension for those Agni Veer who retire after 4 years.
