The work of 21 pillars and 190 piles for three elevated stations in the first corridor of Agra Metro has been completed. The process of construction of the rest has been expedited. For these, girder is also being made rapidly in the mixer plant.

Project Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Arvind Rai said that ISBT, Guru Ka Taal and Sikandra are the three elevated stations in the first corridor. It has 654 piles, 150 pile caps and 150 pillars. In this, 190 piles, 26 pilecaps and 21 pillars are ready.

The girder is being constructed at the plant in Aratouni. Girds of 65 meters and 70 meters are being built here. After the completion of the work of the pillar, the girder will be brought here. This will create the track rapidly. The work of three in underground stations has been completed. Civil work is going on. The completion of the work by May and the Metro will be started operating till July-August.

Demand to expand the metro up to Dayalbagh

The people of Dayalbagh have submitted a memorandum to Union Minister of State SP Singh Baghel demanding to expand the metro to Dayalbagh. Regional resident Saurabh Chaudhary said that thousands of students travel here. There is also a population of more than two lakhs. Metro running from Lord Talkies to Dayalbagh will lead to big facilities. Satyaveer Chaudhary, Dharamvir Chaudhary, Lalit Yadav, Ankit Yadav, Aman Singh, Shivam Verma etc. were present among those who gave the memorandum.
