Agra Police Commissioner J Ravinder Goud put a tough test on the police officers in the crime meeting on Tuesday. They were given question papers and were asked the names of mafia and gangsters of their police station areas. The police officers were left sweating in the commissioner’s meeting. He warned that any police station officer found in contact with brokers will never be charged again.
In his first crime meeting itself, the Police Commissioner taught the inspectors in charge of the police station how to work. When all the police station officers were given question paper to solve, they were shocked. In the question paper, the police station officers were asked the names of the top 10 criminals of the police station. The police officers were in trouble just to answer a question. Some police officers were able to write only two or three names.
The names of 10 history-sheeters and land mafia were also asked from the police station officers. Most of the police station in-charges could not give correct answers to these questions. After the paper, the Police Commissioner directed that the police will not delay in reaching the spot after receiving information about the incident. Will maintain cordial relations with the public. Policemen will behave well with senior citizens, women, children and the poor.
All police stations will hold public hearings from 10 am to 2 pm. Beat police officers will monitor the criminals of their beat. Will also maintain their accounts. As soon as the complaint is received, an FIR should be registered and sent to the victim’s home. We will work continuously to arrest criminals involved in gambling, betting and smuggling etc. If corruption is found at any level, he will be dismissed.
